May 17th The Adventure Begins

It was an early start. Linda, Diana and I drove to Denver Intl for our 10:55 flight. We headed to Minneapolis on Southwest Airlines and actually got in a little early.  It was a little tough  finding the transit terminal, since the instructions we were given by Great Alaskan Holidays still referred to the Northwest Terminal and didn't give any instructions from the new terminal.  We finally made it after asking lots of questions and wandering around.  Of course with two bus loads of people waiting, there wasn't anywhere to sit.  We finally went upstairs to the Avis and Hertz counter area where there were some seats.  At 4:30 we headed downstairs and the bus was waiting, except it was bus #1 and we were scheduled on bus #21.  I asked the driver about the bus and he said there was no bus 21 and that this was our bus.  We loaded onboard.  That was the only tough part of the day.  The bus drive to Forest City was uneventful and lasted a little over 2 hours.  There must have been 75 RVs lined up in rows.  Ours of course was in the last row.  But we are finally in our home for the next 17 nights.
